SUBTITLE
The subtitle language on a DVD can be changed.
If the language selected is not available on the disc, the
original designated by each disc will be selected.
The default setting is [CHINESE].

[CHINESE]: The subtitle language is displayed in Chinese.
[OFF]: Any subtitle languages is not displayed.
[AUTO]:
The same language selected at “AUDIO” is
displayed.
[ENGLISH]: The subtitle language is displayed in English.

AUDIO (soundtrack language)
The audio soundtrack language on a DVD can be changed.
If the language selected is not available on the disc, the
original designated by each disc will be selected.
The default setting is [CHINESE].

TV TYPE
You can select the appropriate screen type according to
your TV set; 4:3 Letter Box(LB), 4:3 Pan & Scan(PS) or
16:9 wide screen.
The default setting is [4:3 LB

4:3 LB
4:3 Letter Box : Select when a conventional TV set is
connected. Media recorded in wide (16:9)
format will be played in “Letter Box” style,
with black bands at the top and bottom of
the screen.
4:3 Pan & Scan : Media recorded in wide (16:9) format will
be played at the full screen height, with
the left and right portions cut off, for media
which contains pan-scan encoding. Other
media will be played in “Letter Box” style.
16:9 Wide : Select when a wide-screen TV set is
connected.
Played in “FULL” size. (Setting the wide-
screen TV to “FULL” mode is also
necessary.)

Each screen shows an example when the video
material for a wide-screen is played.
(This setting does not affect the video material for
conventional size.)
