CLOSING THE FILTER CHAMBER
REPLACING THE UV LIGHTBULB
1. Replace the gasket
on top of filters.
1. Remove the HEPA
filter located in the
center of the unit and
set aside.
6.
Ensure
bulb
does not
move and is firmly in place.
Remove the bubble wrap at
the bottom of the purifier
once you are done.
2
.Take the bubble wrap
that the UV lamp was
wrapped in and place on
bottom of the purifier. It
should cover the motor air
inlet section. This step is to
prevent the butterfly nut
from falling into the motor
during the installation.
3. Using a screwdriver,
replace the 4 screws
and tighten.
3.Gently align the
four probes located
on the bottom of the
lamp with the four
holes on the socket.
Once you are sure
the probes line up
with the holes in the
socket, firmly yet
gently push the
replacement bulb
into the connector.
2. Replace the
cover, ensuring the
indentation in the cover,
lines up with
the center of
the HEPA
filter.
4.
Carefully turn the air
purifier back onto
casters.
Handle the UV lamp with a gentle but firm manner as excessive force can damage the lamp.
Do not touch UV
light with bare hands. Ensure you have gloves on your hands.
UV radiation is dangerous for the eyes and skin. Do not operate the UV-C emitter outside of the appliance.
Using any other UV germicidal lamp other than the legitimate and genuine Airpura UV germicidal lamp which
comes with the Airpura models as replacement parts will render the air purifier dangerous to operate due to
ozone emissions and electrical malfunctions. The 5-year warranty on the air purifier would then be void.
4. Take the screw from
your kit and place it
through the hole located
on the UV bracket (this is
the metallic base that the
UV lamp is sitting on)
until it reaches the other
end of the bracket.
5. Fasten the other end
of the screw with the
butterfly nut. Turn the
butterfly nut until you
can no longer turn it.
7. Replace the HEPA filter that
had been set aside. Make sure
you do not touch the UV lamp
when placing the HEPA filter
back into the purifier.
