Machine and Engine Maintenance
To prevent accidents, disconnect the spark plug whenever you are
performing any maintenance procedures on the machine.
Engine:
Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every 8 hours, more often when used in a
dusty environment. Engine power will be reduced is it is not cleaned
properly. Do not use the machine if there is no air filter or if the filter is
damaged. Failure to properly maintain the filter will void the warranty.
Clean the filter with compressed air. Clean the outside mesh frequently.
If it
’
s too dirty or damaged, replace.
Do not brush or use fuel / oil to clean the air cleaner.
After cleaning the air cleaner, return it back to the case, being sure to
securely attach the cover.
Servicing the Spark Plug
Use only an approved spark plug tester. Clean the
spark plug every 25 hours. Use a steel brush to remove
combustion residue. Calibrate the clearance between
electrodes to 0.5
-
0.7mm with a feeler gauge. Replace
the spark plug twice a year to avoid failure.
