The optical Transmitter/ Receiver modules are designed for a data
communication over several hundred of meters, which imply the corresponding
attenuation on the fibre connection. If the FOL429-P-T and FOL429-P-R are
connected via short jumper cables, then communication failures on the fibre optic
link may happen, because of saturation effects on the optical receiver unit.
