INTRODUCTION
Thank you for deciding to purchase the Aluminium Folding Walking Frame from Aidapt. The Aluminium
Folding Walking Frame range is manufactured from the finest materials and components available,
when used correctly it is designed to give many years of reliable trouble-free service.
Please Note: Always consult with the prescriber/Physiotherapist if you are in any doubt that this
product is suitable for your use.
N.B. This equipment must be installed by a competent person.
180 kg (28 stone) weight limit.
Do not exceed the weight limit stated – doing so could put the user at risk.
BEFORE USE
•
Carefully remove all packaging. Avoid using any knives of other sharp instruments as this may
damage the surface of the product.
•
Check the product for any visible damage If you see any damage or suspect a fault, do not use
your product, but contact your supplier for support.
INTENDED USE
When the frame is adjusted correctly the user should be able to maintain an upright posture with the
elbow slightly flexed. In this way, body weight is taken through the frame by pushing down on the
frame when walking.
FOLDING AND UNFOLDING YOUR WALKING FRAME
The side sections of the Folding Walking Frame are hinged to the central bar to allow for quick use and
easy storage.
•
To open:
Ensure that the locking nuts at either side of the central bar are in the open position
and gently swing the side sections out one at a time. Use the locking nut to secure the side
frame in position and repeat for the other side.

To fold:
Release the locking nuts and carefully allow the side sections to fold in towards the
central bar.
FOLDING AND UNFOLDING YOUR WALKING FRAME
1.
Position the frame in front of the chair.
2.
Get up by pushing on the arms of the chair and transfer hand to frame when fully standing.
3.
To sit down, using the frame, turn round in front of the chair and feel using wheeled frames,
the rear legs the chair behind you with your legs.
4.
Place hands gently on the chair arms, bend slightly forward and sit down gently.
