Obligations towards personnel
The following prerequisites must be fulfilled to ensure the safe operation of the unit by the personnel:

The personnel have the required qualification and receive the appropriate training.
–
The personnel have been instructed in fundamental regulations for occupational safety and preven-
tion of accidents.
–
The personnel have been instructed in operational specifics and requirements.
–
The personnel have read and understood the part of the manual relevant for their activities.
–
The personnel have access to the manual at all times. Always keep the manual in the direct vicinity
of the unit.
–
The personnel are regularly instructed in the hazards that may occur when working with the unit.
–
The personnel wear the appropriate protective gear.
3.3
Personnel requirements
Before commencing work, all persons assigned to work on the equipment undertake to observe the fun-
damental regulations for occupational safety and prevention of accidents.
Persons whose responsiveness is affected, e.g. by drugs, alcohol or medicines, must not work on the
unit.
Qualification
All persons assigned to perform operation or maintenance activities on the unit must have read and
understood the manual, especially the Chapters “Safety” and “Warnings”, with regard to the respective
activity prior to commencing work.
Insufficiently qualified personnel cannot properly assess the hazards associated with handling the unit
and therefore put themselves and other persons at risk.
Insufficiently qualified personnel must not stay in the danger zone of the unit.
Personal protective equipment
Personal protective equipment serves the purpose of protecting people. Observe the applicable regula-
tions for the surrounding area and wear the prescribed protective gear.

3.4
Illegible labeling
Over time, labels and signs can become dirty or otherwise difficult to recognize. This can result in a fail-
ure to recognize the risks, and follow the required operating instructions. In order to prevent injuries, all
warnings must always be kept clearly legible. Damaged signs or labels must be replaced immediately.
3.5
Intended use
The ROG - ROLL’N’GRILL
®
is used exclusively for grilling solid food products, such as meat, fish with
firm flesh, vegetables or veggie burgers.
The slice thickness must be at least 9 mm and must not exceed 13 mm.
Meat must be boneless and without gristle.
Operation is only allowed in the ambient conditions specified in Chapter "3.7 Ambient
conditions" [
Page 10]. All attachments described in Chapter "4.2.1 Design of the unit" [
must be properly mounted at the unit.
The unit is meant for commercial use, e.g. in the kitchens of restaurants, canteens, hospitals, and in com-
mercial enterprises, such as bakeries, butcher’s shops and the like, but not for the continuous large-
scale production of food products.
