Advice for use
1. Before using the tool, check that the safety instructions have been followed and that the
equipment has been correctly lubricated and maintained.
2. To achieve good results, the soil must be neither too wet nor too dry so that it falls apart producing
a satisfactory network of cracks when the blade slices through it.
3. If the soil is to wet, wheel-spin may damage the structure of the topsoil. A four-wheel drive tractor
should be used to reduce wheel-spin.
4. The looseness of the soil depends partly on the working depth, the distance between the blades
and the forward speed
5. A depth of between 25 and 50 cm depending on the blade and a distance of 75cm between the
blades loosens the soil completely in most conditions. When working at a shallower depth, it may
be necessary to use winged ploughshares. The working speed depends on the conditions and is
generally between 5 and 8 km/h. Greater loosening is achieved at higher speeds.
6. Check the following list before starting work.
-
Are the wear parts in good condition and correctly attached?
-
Is there sufficient ballast on the front of the tractor to lift the tool?
7. During use, check that the tool is correctly hitched and is perfectly horizontal to the work, both in
the longitudinal and transversal directions.
8. If necessary, consult your tractor user manual for details of the safety instructions and settings for
the tractor's three-point hitch for optimum use of the equipment.
9. Using the tool correctly ensures crops are sown safely under optimum conditions. AGRISEM

a result which does not correspond to the intended aim. It is the user's responsibility to decide and
assume sole responsibility for all risks linked to incorrect use or inappropriate use of the tool.
