If the measured voltages decrease by approximately 1V for each 10 dBm reduction in power level, as shown in the Example
Voltages column in the table, verify the continuity of the W14 modulator drive cable (see
) to the A3 RF
assembly.
— If the cable is bad, replace the cable.
— If the cable is good, replace the RF assembly.

Using an oscilloscope, measure ALC J1-E3 (
NOTE
There is no “J1” label on this side of the circuit board.
You should see a sine wave with an amplitude > 2.5 Vp–p and a period of 2.5 ms.
