Installing the 10.8 Gbit/s Booster

Module

The N4868A 10.8 Gbit/s Booster Module is an add-on to the E4866A
10.8 Gbit/s data generator module. It contains high speed amplifiers and
is used to increase the slew rate of the generated signal.

This yields a signal that is less prone to transmission errors.

The booster module can be plugged into any free adjacent slot of the
system. It is to be connected through cables between the E4866A data
generator and the DUT.

Remember that a ParBERT system, controlled by a master clock module
(this is clockgroup one), ignores all modules following an empty slot.
