A
method file
specifies parameters for how analyte and/or calibrant are dispensed from a
microtiter plate to a SpectroCHIP Array. Each method file includes a
mapping file
, which
details which plate well is dispensed to which SpectroCHIP Array pad.
The Nanodispenser RS1000 comes with several predefined method files and mapping
files. This chapter provides more detailed information on method files and mapping files
as well as instructions for creating custom files.
3.1 About method files
A method file specifies how analyte and/or calibrant will be dispensed from a microtiter
plate to a SpectroCHIP Array and includes:
• A mapping file– Specifies a pin array format, the number and type of SpectroCHIP
Arrays and plates, whether autotuning is enabled for specific pads, and defines
how the microtiter plate wells are dispensed to the SpectroCHIP Array pads.
• Pin array movement speed
• Pin set installed
• Cleaning steps to be performed
• Additional dispensing options
