OVERVIEW

The ShDSL71 module represents the ideal solution for the management of

ShDSL lines, a task achieved quickly and in depth at the same time.

This module works in combination with the Aethra multi-interface xDSL

tester D2071.

The key aspect is based on having the complete technology inside a single

module in order to permit a relevant save of money and time; in fact only

the tests you need are hosted in the card and the troubles can be faced in

a fast and direct way.

Through the connection test, it’s possible to characterize the ShDSL link

completely, showing the anomalies, the defects and the discrepancies with

the chosen configuration. Data related to CRC errors, LOSW, loop

attenuation and SNR are excellent indicators of the connection status.

Through the IP2071 software option to be set in the main unit, the IP and

ATM stacks are available, in order to investigate the problems with the

upper layers.

Now, by making the “IP Generate Traffic” test work, the user can consult

the statistics pages dealing with the most widespread protocols of the

Internet world like HTTP, FTP and TFTP.

The three main operating modes (STU-R, STU-C and BRIDGE mode) cover

every possible test scenario to check the correctness of an installation or

to detect troubles on any device, both user’s side and CO side; the Graphic

User Interface shows a page (that is preliminary to the test) for every

operating mode to avoid wiring mistakes and then the user can get into

focus immediately, with a remarkable save of time.
