Replace product: have defective products repaired by Aesculap Technical Service, see Technical Service.
10. Storage and transport
WARNING
Risk of injury from burns and damage to product in case of short-cir-
cuit!
►
When storing the product, ensure that the product cannot short-
circuit with other products or metal objects.
►
In order to prevent damage during transport, ship product in the orig-
inal packaging and in an outer carton.
►
If the original packaging is no longer available, ensure the following
when packaging the product:
– The battery contacts are protected against short-circuit.
– The packaging completely encloses the product.
– The product is secured against movement within the packaging.
Li-Ion batteries must be identified with corresponding warning notices on
the shipment packaging when sending through the mail.

Identify product with warning notice when shipping:
– UN3480, if only batteries are in the shipment packaging.
– UN3481, if machines and batteries are in the shipment packaging.
Due to the regulations of the International Air Transport Association
(IATA), this product may not be returned by air shipment.
►
Ship product only by ground/sea transport.
Never ship defective batteries.
►
Dispose of defective products, see Disposal.
Note
Batteries with normal wear (decreased capacity) that have no evidence of
damage are not considered defective. These batteries can be shipped for a
service case to Aesculap Technical Service.
Due to transport regulations, the product is charged only approx. 30 % and
has a limited storage life of 12 months. After the first complete charge, the
product can be stored for 24 months without recharging.

Completely charge the product upon receipt and before extended peri-
ods of storage.
