4.4.12.4 Check TMS compressor gas pressure and re-fill

The coolant in the TMS compressor gas is R134a (1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane). This is a common
refrigerant gas. The gas must be purchased locally because Aeroqual cannot ship gas.

Aeroqual can provide the pressure gauge to measure the compressor pressure, see Figure 4-28.

IMPORTANT!

The compressor requires that gas be added to a specific PRESSUE, not a specific weight, so it is
very important to use the pressure gauge provided by Aeroqual when re-filling the compressor
with gas.

You will also need a valve to add to the can or cylinder of gas.

Aeroqual can provide a charging hose (AQM R12) to connect the valve to the pressure gauge.
