Putting into Service
Electrical Connection
1. Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure
that the mains voltage to be used matches that of
the device. You can fi nd this information on the
nameplate.
2. Connect the device to a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz
protective contact socket.
Use
Operation
Here you have two possibilities:
Normal mode:
• Turn the switch knob counterclockwise to the ON
position.
• Select a speed between 1 and 3.
1 = low, 2 = medium, 3 = high
Timer mode:
• Turn the switch knob clockwise. Functioning periods
of up to 120 minutes can be selected.
• Select a speed between 1 and 3.
• At the end of the set time the fan shuts off auto-
matically.
Oscillation
By pressing the oscillation selector (STOP/MOVE) the
constant oscillatory movement of the fan is activated or
deactivated.
Switching Off
1. The fan is switched off by turning the rotary switch
to the OFF position or pressing the 0 button.

NOTE:
If you have been using timer operation, the timer
continues running until that time has elapsed.
Quiet ticking can therefore be heard.
2. After use remove the plug.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the
device.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the
device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise
this might result in an electric shock or fi re.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the outside of the device with a dry cloth
without any additives.
• If the device is very dirty wet a cloth with water and
then wipe the device dry once you have fi nished.
