Operating instructions
Preparing the hair

Wash your hair and dry it well.

Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use
hairspray or other flammable chemical
hair care products.

Place a hand towel around your neck
to prevent the possibility of skin burns.
Switching on the appliance

Open the appliance by switching the
locking (Fig. 1/

) to the position

Insert the mains plug and switch on
the appliance using the ON/OFF switch
(Fig. 1/

and Fig. 2).
The temperature control light 4 (Fig 1/

) flashes until the appliance has rea-
ched its pre-set temperature of 160 °C
(Fig. 3).

The pre-set temperature is reached
after approx. 1 minute.

Risk of burning your hair if
selected temperature is too high.
Select the suitable temperature for
your hair type. Depending on your
hairtype the wrongly selected tempe-
rature or improper use of the hair
straightener puts your hair at risk of
drying out or in the worst case
burning. Listed below are the recom-
mended temperature levels that should
always be observed:
Always select the lowest
temperature level (100 °C)
when using your hair
straightener for the first
time.
Select a low temperature
level of approx. 120 °C for
blonde, bleached or coloured
hair.
Select a low (140 °C) to
medium (160 °C) tempera-
ture level for normal and
slightly wavy hair.
Select a medium (180 °C) to
high (200 °C) temperature
level for very thick, curly and
hard to straighten hair.
Setting lower temperature levels

repeatedly until the required tempera-
ture level is set (Fig. 4, a).
Minimum temperature 100 °C.
