INTENDED USE
The pruner attachment is approved for use only with the AEG 58V battery-
driven power heads of ALT58B and ALT58BT and the 18V battery-driven
power heads of ALT18B.
The product is designed for cutting and pruning of small limbs and branches
(with a diameter that is less than or equal to the bar length) located high in
the tree. While cutting and pruning, the operator maintains a steady footing
on the ground.
The product is designed to be extended to a maximum length of 2.5 (including
the extension shaft). Do not exceed this working length.
The product is not intended to be used while climbing or as a conventional
chainsaw for close quarter limbing and pruning of material at ground level.
Do not use the product for any other purpose.
WARNING! When using the product, the safety rules must be followed.
For your own safety and that of bystanders, please read these instructions
before operating the product. Please keep the instructions safe for later use.
WARNING! The attachment is not suitable for use with power heads
equipped with bike handle.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
FOR ASSEMBLING WITH PETROL-DRIVEN POWER HEAD

For safe operation, read and understand all instructions before using
the product. Follow all safety instructions. Failure to follow all safety
instructions listed below can result in serious personal injury.
■
Never start or run the engine in a closed or poorly ventilated area.
Breathing exhaust fumes can kill.
■
Do not touch the area around the silencer or cylinder of the product, as
these parts get hot from operation.
■
Always turn off the engine and allow it to cool down before making any
adjustments.
■
Do not smoke when mixing fuel or filling the fuel tank.
■
Mix and store fuel in a container that is approved for fuel.
■
Mix fuel outdoors where there are no sparks or flames. Wipe up any
fuel spillage. Move 9 m away from the refuelling site before starting the
engine.
■
Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down before refuelling or storing
the product.
■
Allow the engine to cool, empty the fuel tank and oil tank (if applicable),
and secure the product from moving before transporting the product in
a vehicle.
WARNING!
When the throttle trigger is released and the engine is
running at idle speed, the blade must not move. If the blade continues to move,
there is a risk of severe injury to the operator. Do not use the product. Return
the product to an authorised service centre for professional adjustment.
