Installation:
NOTE:
Disconnect the vehicle battery before starting your installation.
Removal of the LCD Touch Panel and Radio control center is required for installation. Vehicle Specific instructions are available on-
line at www.voxxuniversity.com.
After the components are removed, connect the following:
1. Using the Supplied T-harness Power Cable, disconnect the matching cable
from the main Radio/CD unit. Plug the T-harness in the radio and the
factory harness into the T-harness. The small 4 pin harness on the
T-harness connects to the CAN module.
2. The navigation module will be located behind the radio. Determine your
exact mounting location to insure you route your wires correctly.
3. Disconnect the 4 pin LVDS Video cable from the touch panel. Do not use the
connection at the radio.
4. Using the supplied LVDS connect cable, connect the factory LVDS cable to
the supplied cable, the panel to the supplied cable and route to the Nav
Module location.
5. The system utilizes either the left dash speaker or the included external
speaker for easier installation or for vehicles that do not have dash speakers.
When connected to a factory speaker the Nav system will mute the radio
audio in that speaker only when giving directions. If using the external
speaker the factory audio will not mute.
To install using the factory speaker, remove the left dash speaker from the dash
route the included speaker harness to the speaker location. Connect the supplied
harness to the speaker and the OEM wiring to the other harness connector.
Route the wire to the module and connect.
If using the included external speaker; pick a location that is not obstructed and
can be heard easily by the driver. Remove the tape backing from the rear of the
speaker and attach to the mounting location. Route the wire to the module and
connect.
If needed or for custom installation this can be wired to any standard 4 ohm speaker.
The Nav module has the ability to add a backup camera and 2 AV inputs. The
module will support the factory backup camera if the vehicle is equipped with
this. If you are adding a camera or aux inputs, use the supplied cables and
connect as needed.

8. USB Update Cable: This is used for map updates. Route the cable from the
module to the glove box for future use as needed. Connect to the Nav
module.
9.
GPS Antenna:
The antenna must be mounted in a location where it has a
clear view of the sky. Center of the dash by the glass is recommended.
NOTE:
If reception is poor re-locate to another area and re-test. The GPS antenna cannot be blocked by metal surfaces
and should be visible for best reception.
