Mounting and Cable Fittings:
Safe Area Cable Connections
The
TouchMix®
XI
computer
allows
for
cable
connections
to
a
safe
area
via
a
conduit
attached
to
the
housing.
For USA & Canadian installations, the computer housing provides a single
conduit opening able to accept a standard "Ex" certified conduit fitting.
For ATEX/IECEx installations any suitable ATEX/IEC approved cable gland is
to be used.
NOTE:
It
is
the
installer’s
responsibility
to
determine
how
connections
are
made
and
comply
with
all
local
codes.
Making Connections:
To
maintain
safe
installation
conditions,
ALL
connections
must
be
made
in
accordance
with
the
Installation
Control
Drawings
and
local
codes
provided
in
this
manual
.
Internal
connectors
must
be
secured
with
provided
screws
and
retaining
brackets
(see
below)
Bracket
installation:
Push
brackets
tightly
against
connector,
install
and
tighten
down
screw,
to
keep
connector
secure.
