Introduction
The PPC-S155T has an on board integrated VGA chipset. Specifications and
instructions for driver installation are detailed in this chapter.
6.1.1
Chipset
The PPC-S155T uses an integrated graphics chipset in Intel 915 GME chipset. It
integrates a 32-bit 3D graphics engine, based on an Intel® Graphics Media Accelera-
tor 900 (Intel® GMA 900) architecture, and operates at core speeds up to 333 MHz.
With a powerful 333MHz core and new DirectX 9 hardware acceleration, Intel GMA
900 graphics can provide performance on par with graphics card solutions that cost
significantly more.
6.1.2
Display memory
The system memory is leveraged for both system and graphics use. Since the mem-
ory is shared by both graphics and other system applications, memory bandwidth is
important for delivering a better user experience. The GMA 900 allows for memory
support up to dual-channel DDR2 533MHz. With up to 8.5GB/s of memory bandwidth
available, the Intel GMA 900 can deliver a high-quality user experience.
