3.2.4 PSU Installation

To install PSU into the PAC-4010 chassis:

1. Align the PSU mechanical edge to the system PSU slot.

2. Carefully slide the FAN module into the system until the connector contacts into the

backplane. Make sure the orange latch is well locked.

To extract PSU from the PAC-4010 chassis:

1. Press the PSU orange latch to unlatch the latch spring. (see

Figure 3-11 (A)

)

2. Pull the PSU out of chassis.

Caution!

1. DO NOT remove the PSU before unplugging the power cable (power cord).

2. For N+1 redundant system power, only allow ONE PSU to be extracted at

one time.

3. DO NOT leave the slot empty when extracting the PSU, the alternative PSU

MUST be inserted immediately for safety purpose.
