2.1.1 PS/2 Mouse and Keyboard
If you wish to use a full-size desktop keyboard and PS/2 mouse with your
Workstation, follow these instructions:
1.
Be sure the workstation is turned off.
2.
Reattach the original 2 black PS/2 keyboard & mouse cables if they
are already connected on the right side of the chassis.
3.
Attach your keyboard & mouse adapter onto the PS/2 ports.
2.1.2 Parallel Ports
The Workstation supports the latest EPP and ECP parallel port protocols
for improved performance and versatility with compatible printers or
other devices.
To connect the Workstation to a printer or other devices:
1.
Make sure both the Workstation and the printer/devices are turned
off.
2.
Connect the 25-pin male connector of the printer cable to the 25-
pin female port on the Workstation labelled "parallel port."
3.
If necessary, attach the other end of your printer cable to your
printer, and fasten any retaining screws.
4.
Turn on the printer and any other peripheral devices you may have
connected to the Workstation. Then turn on the Workstation.
5.
If necessary, run the Workstation's BIOS setup program to config-
ure the parallel port to respond as required by your printer and soft-
ware operating environment.
Note:
Please be aware, once after connecting your keyboard
& mouse onto the I/O of 7157 right side of chassis, the
all front panel function keys & touch pad will be dis-
abled, since the original cables are removed
