Static Routes
Static routes are created manually and have many different uses. After the static
route is set, packets will be transferred to appointed routes. Engineers can create
simpler networks by using static routes in place of RIP or OSPF, and ensure greater
network reliability. The proper setting and use of static routing can also improve the
performance of a network and guarantee bandwidth for important network applica-
tions. The device supports up to 20 static route entries.
From the navigation panel, select
Network >> Static Route
, then enter
“Static

page, as shown below.
