2.1 Integration system setup
The WS-8259 offers two ways to meet the requirements of industrial
computing platforms, integrated or separated applications. For integrat-
ed application,the AWS-8259 can be used as a complete computing
platform.It supports a 9 ISA/PCI slot,15"TFT LCD workstation. For sep-
arated applications,the WS-8259 can be separated into a LCD monitor
and control chassis.
2.1.1
General
The AWS-8259 adopts a standard industrial PCI/ISA backplane. After
installing the CPU card and other accessories, this system is operational.
And the standard front panel layout allows the system to be easily
mounted in a 19-inch rack.
Warning!
Do not begin your installation until you are sure there is
no power flowing within the AWS-8259. It must be
switched off and unplugged. Every time you access the
interior of the AWS-8259, you should switch it off and
unplug it.
