Q - When I install the Multimedia interface, there is no factory picture or aftermarket picture.

A. 

First

 check that the multimedia interface is receiving power and has an internal LED on. Also confirm that    

 

    dipswitch 10 is in the down position. If these are working as normal try the following.

B. 

On some vehicles the video needs to be intercepted at the HMI module due to data encryption.  

     Please try the following:

•  Leave the plug and play black Power & CAN-Bus  

connector connected at the screen. Re-connect the 
factory Video connector (mini usb type) to the factory 
monitor.

•  Behind the glove box there should be a HMI module as  

pictured 

(See figure 7)

, connect the video  connectors to 

the blue connector circled 

(See Figure 6)

(Please note: Location may be different depending on who  
converted the vehicle)

•  If there is still no picture display, the video in and out 

leads may need to be reversed at the multimedia  
interface 

(See Figure: 8)
