Water Use
If a swim cap, headband or other device used in water environ-
ments is placed over the AquaMic microphone, some degradation
in sound quality may be perceived.
If any degradation in sound quality is noticed during water use, re-
move AquaMic from head and gently shake to remove any excess
water from microphone opening.
It is recommended that you replace your AquaMic after water use
with a dry headpiece to ensure restoration of typical system sound
quality.
The Neptune sound processor and AquaMic carry a rating of IP68.
This rating indicates that the Neptune system when using these
parts is protected against the following conditions:
•
Complete protection against dust penetration
•
Failure due to continuous immersion in water up to 3 meters (9
ft. 10 inches) for 30 minutes.
