Connecting the OSCM-V#1630s to the West and
East OSFM+#1630s
To connect the OSCM-V#1630s to the West and East OSFM+#1630 modules,
use the proper cable jumper pairs and the connectors listed in
and
FSP 3000R7 ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DC
and FSP 3000R7 Optical Cabling
The following section describes how to establish optical connections between
the FSP 3000R7 master shelf supporting modules and
ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DC shelves.
Network Element Connections
The diagrams below show how a typical NE is internally cabled using
ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DCs. Refer to
, NE Signal Flow Diagram.
The diagram shows typical signal flow through the NE when
ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DCs are connected to the FSP 3000R7 master shelf.
In the diagram, the ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DCs are cabled for adding, drop-
ping and passing through channels. Note that if there is only going to be an add
or drop channel, then the U-D and U-M port connections between the two
ROADM-C40/40/2-3HU-2DC shelves would not be required.
