Installing Fiber Optic Cables
This section describes how to install the fiber optic cables in the fiber optic tray
of the SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT Shelf and FMT/1HU Shelf.
For convenience, the SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT and FMT/1HU Shelf are
referred to as the fiber management shelf, with any differences clearly noted in
the following.
The SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT Shelf and the FMT/1HU Shelf provide fiber
management for the fiber optic cables and patch cords originating from an FSP
3000R7 Shelf. The fiber optic cables (in the following referred to as cables) have
to be routed through two sliding radius limiter with trumpet flares into the fiber
optic tray of the fiber management shelf. One sliding radius limiter with trumpet
flare is located on the left and one on the right side of the fiber management
shelf.
