Procedure
Step 1
Take the 40CSM/2HU shelf out of its shipping box and put it on
grounded surface or an antistatic mat.
Step 2
Take the 19-inch brackets and the four screws out of the plastic bags
(as supplied in the rack-mount kit).
Step 3
Place the appropriate 19-inch bracket on one side of the shelf in the
correct position as illustrated in
. The two threaded holes in
the shelf side panel and the mounting holes of the bracket should line
up.
Step 4
Using the fixing screws provided, fit the appropriate 19-inch bracket
as follows:
a) Insert a screw M5x10 through a mounting hole in the bracket into
the threaded hole in the shelf side panel.
b) Insert a second screw M5x10 through the remaining mounting
hole in the bracket into the threaded hole in the shelf side panel.
c) Tighten the screws with a Torx screwdriver TX25.

Step 5
Repeat step 3 to step 4 of this procedure for the opposite side.

Fitting the 40CSM/2HU Shelf with ETSI Brackets
This subsection describes the procedure that must be followed in order to fit the
40CSM/2HU shelf with ETSI brackets.
ETSI brackets are required to adapt the 40CSM/2HU shelf to the ETSI standard
rack dimensions.
