Logs
OPTI-APPS can monitor and maintain logs of certain communications and operations:
• “TL1 Log” on page 29
• “FTOT Log” on page 30
TL1 Log
OPTI-APPS monitors TL1 messages to and from the configured elements. TL1 can be
displayed in a TL1 Log window at the GNE level (all subtended remote NEs are included) or
at a global level (every GNE and NE is included).
• For a TL1 log for one GNE and all its NEs, right-click the GNE and select Display TL1 .
• For a TL1 log for all GNEs and NEs, select Logs > Display TL1 Log .
A sample GNE-level TL1 Log is illustrated in Figure 25 .

NOTE

The global TL1 log would display “Global” in the title bar, instead of a
GNE name. Otherwise, the log windows appear identical.
 Text in this display can be copied and pasted into a text document.

No TL1 messages are transmitted between OPTI-APPS and the GNE.
In addition to being displayed, TL1 transactions are recorded in a TL1 log file located in
C:\Documents and Settings\[PC username]\OPTI-APPS\log\
.
Click Pause Display to stop new TL1 messages from being displayed and recorded to the log
file. Click Pause Display again to resume showing and recording new TL1 messages.
