Install and Configure OPTI-APPS
OPTI-APPS is virtually self-contained, and can be installed with a simple drag-and-drop, plus
a few quick set-up steps.
If a previous OPTI-APPS release exists, complete the following steps:
NOTE
Make sure to use a Java version that is 64-bit when using Windows 10.
To install and run OPTI-APPS, complete the following steps:
1.
Copy the file
OPTI-APPS_#.#.jar
onto the computer, at any convenient location.
NOTE
The application can be placed in any accessible directory or even directly
onto the Windows desktop. This one file contains the entire application,
with the exception of a few data files that are installed automatically. The
application file can be renamed, but must retain the
.jar
extension.
2.
Double-click the OPTI-APPS icon to launch.
The End User License Agreement appears.
3.
Read the EULA. Click Accept to continue, or Cancel to end.
NOTICE
OPTI-APPS cannot be used unless the EULA has been accepted.
Once the EULA has been accepted, additional files necessary to run OPTI-APPS are
placed in the Users directory (see Figure 3 ):
C:\Documents and Settings\[username directory]\OPTI-APPS

Copy the following files from the previous.../optiapps/misc folder and paste them into
the new .../optiapps/ misc folder.
• telnet_session.bat
• OptiApps_EULA.html
• OptiApps.xml
