Flow Depth

Flow levels must exist at a depth of at least 2 to 3 inches (51 to

76 mm) above the bottom center of the pipe or channel to successfully obtain
velocity measurements.



Channel Wall/Water Surface

Do not measure velocity within 1.5 inches

(38 mm) of the channel wall or flow surface.
