connections

power
After securely connecting a constant 12v source, remote turn-on wire from the head unit and
ground wire to the 3-pin power connector, plug it into the FDi with the screws facing up.

OEM radio speaker/balanced input
Securely connect the speaker leads from your factory head unit to the 9-pin connector and plug it
into the FDi with the screws facing up. The level control to the right of this connector will adjust
the level of all four channels of the speaker inputs.

OEM radio rca input
If your factory head unit is equipped with rca outputs for both front and rear channels, run rca
cables from the head unit to the OEM radio rca inputs. In this case do NOT use the OEM radio
speaker input. The level control to the right of the four rca jacks will adjust the level of the four
rca inputs.

aux source inputs
Connect the left and right rca cables from the source unit you are adding to the system here. The
FDi allows you to add two sources to your system i.e. a cd changer and an MP3 player. The level
control to the left of source A and source B inputs adjusts the level of both aux source inputs.

output
Connect rca cables to your system amplifier from these outputs.

source select
After installing the source A/B selector switch in the front of the car plug in the cable here. The
FDi will only pass signals from the OEM head unit if the switch is not properly connected.

antenna input and output
Remove the factory antenna plug from the head unit and insert it into the antenna input on the
FDi. Now insert the antenna plug from the FDi antenna output into the OEM head unit. The
plugs on the FDi are standard Motorola format. Adapters and/or extension antenna cables may
be required to complete this connection.

fm frequency
The fm frequency switch gives you three choices for the control frequency the FDi will use to con-
trol the aux sources. The FDI will control the aux sources only when the OEM head unit Tuner is
set to the selected frequency.

probe
The probe rca jacks are used only for testing. Do not connect any cables here.
