Calibration
ADLINK has adopted a new calibration method to optimize lin-
earity and minimize gains and offset errors for PCI-6208/6216-
GL Series cards. We utilize a precision 6½ digital multi-meter
(DMM) for in-house calibration.
During the calibration process, the calibration program will trig-
ger the DMM to measure the actual output of every digital code
(-32768 to +32767) generated by a PCI-6208/6216-GL Series
card. Then it creates a mapping table and records these data
on a Flash memory chip.
After calibration, when the PCI-6208/6216-GL Series cards
perform their DA conversion, each cards firmware converts the
output code automatically to the closest code which then corre-
sponds to the actual output value closest to the ideal value
based on the mapping table to minimize gain and offset errors
for better linearity.
NOTE:
NOTE:
A one year re-calibration interval is recommended.
Please contact your vendor or ADLINK directly to have
your card re-calibrated.
