Test images
6.3.3.
The camera can generate a test pattern regardless of exposure mode. The camera will continue
working in the selected mode, but instead of the usual image, an artificial image is displayed.
The test pattern is built in for service and calibration purposes. It is shown in figure 6.1.
Also, it is possible to set the test pattern to crosshair overlay. The cross hairs (horizontal and vertical)
are white and centered regardless of region of interest. They may be used during alignment of the
camera in the system.
NOTE: This image is inserted in front of the gain stage (section 6.6), so gain will affect the appearance
of the test pattern.

The Standard Adimec test pattern consists of various grey bars in the center and a boundary pattern
near the edge of the image. In the color camera there are also color patches available, those patches
are situated on the left and right side of the grey bars.
High Quality Mode - Averaging
6.3.4.
The camera is able to average a number of images before they are output over the interface. Averaging
N images reduces the temporal noise and increases the signal to noise ratio by a factor
