CARE AND CLEANING
Self-clean
The self-clean feature cleans out deposits that may have
collected inside the iron. If the iron is in regular use, run self-
cleaning twice a month.
Fill the iron with water as you would for steam ironing.
•
Turn the steam control to the ‘0’ (steam off) position.
•
Connect mains power.
•
Set the temperature control to maximum.
•
Wait for the temperature light to go out.
Disconnect the iron from mains power and carry it to a sink.
•
Hold the iron horizontally over the sink and press the Self-
•
clean button for about 30 seconds.
Steam and water will flow from the soleplate.
•
Allow the iron to empty.
•
Release the self-clean button.
•
Allow the iron to cool before cleaning the body or storing it.
•
Main body
Always disconnect the iron from mains power and ensure it has
cooled before cleaning it.
Wipe the main body and soleplate clean with a slightly damp
•
cloth.
Dry thoroughly.
•
Never clean the iron with solvents or abrasive products.
