USING JOG/SHUTTLE RING
Use of the jog/shuttle ring allows many different kinds of
playback – normal play, forward search, reverse play
and reverse search.
Note: If the shuttle ring is operated in stop mode, the
VCR enters the fast forward or rewind mode.
■
How to use the jog dial on the VCR
Turn the jog dial during play or still play for forward or
reverse frame advance.
• Every time the jog dial is brought to the point where a
slight click is felt, the picture will move by one frame.
• Releasing the jog dial returns to still play.
■
How to use the shuttle ring
If the shuttle ring is operated during normal or still
playback, turning the ring to the positions indicated
gives the special effects shown.
• Release the shuttle ring for still play.
• If the shuttle ring is operated during still play
and is then released, the VCR re-enters the still
play mode. If the VCR is left for one minute after
still play is restored from reverse play, the VCR
will enter the stop mode automatically to
prevent damage to the tape.
• Numbers indicate tape speeds with normal play
as 0.
Notes:
• The picture may contain noise, streaking or other
distortion when it changes.
• If noise bars appear on the TV screen during still
mode, adjust the TRACKING control on the VCR to
adjust tracking.
