Resetting the Digital iPEPS to factory default
For situations where the IP address or the password has been forgotten, or the
Digital iPEPS is being reinstalled, it is possible to reset the unit to its original
factory settings. This erases all configuration such as hosts, users and passwords,
and restores the default network address.
To perform a factory reset:
1 Disconnect power and all other cables from the Digital iPEPS unit.
2 Set Configuration Switch 2 to the ON (up) position.
3 Apply power to the unit (either from the power supply or via both USB
cables).
4 Within five seconds set Switch 2 to the OFF (down) position.
Note: If the orange indicator illuminates while switch 2 is still in the ON
position then it is too late to place it in the OFF position. Power down and
try again.
If the factory reset is successful, the orange indicator will flash once after
fifteen seconds.
After the factory reset is complete, the unit will reboot and you can connect
a VNC viewer to it using the default IP address: 192.168.1.42 to check that
the configuration has been reset.
