Installing and Connecting Devices

You will need one SATA cable and one standard or SATA power cord for 
each SATA device you plan to connect to your ASH-1205SA. (Refer to 
your device’s documentation to determine which type of power cord to 
use.)
One SATA cable is included in your SATAConnect kit.
You can connect a maximum of two SATA devices to your ASH-1205SA, 
one to each connector on the card.
To complete the installation:

If your computer is not already open, follow the instructions 
provided in 

Step 1

 and 

Step 2 on page 4

Mount the first device in an available bay inside your computer. 
Refer to the computer’s documentation for instructions.

Plug one end of the SATA cable into Connector 1 on the ASH-1205SA.

Plug the other end of the SATA cable into the SATA port on your 
device.

 to install a second device, using Connector 2.

Connect a power cord to each device. (Refer to your device’s 
documentation to determine which type of power cord to use.)

Close the computer cabinet, reattach the power cord, then power on 
your computer.
