Messages
You can check the messages that are received quickly in the shortcut
operation.
1. A notification appears and notifies you of a new message on the
secondary information area.
2. Select the system status icon then press the true touchpad B.
The status area list appears on the primary information area.
A notification is continuously displayed in the header area until the
new message is read.
3. Select a new message to open.
If you have selected the update option for AcuraLink
®
, follow the
directions on the screen to complete the process.

If your vehicle’s airbags deploy or if the unit detects that the vehicle is severely
impacted, your vehicle automatically attempts to connect to an operator.
Your phone must be paired to the system and have good cellular connection.

Connect an Apple CarPlay

-compatible iPhone

to the system. You can use
the audio/information screen to make a phone call, listen to music, and more.

• Phone: Access your contacts, make phone calls, or listen to voice mail.
• Music: Play music stored on your iPhone
®
.
• Maps: Display Apple Maps and use the navigation function just as you
would on your iPhone
®
.
• Messages: View and reply to text messages, or have messages read to you.
Models with navigation system
Only one navigation system (pre-installed navigation or Apple CarPlay
™
) can
give directions at a time. When you are using one system, directions to any
prior destination set on the other system will be canceled, and the system you
are currently using will direct you to your destination.
Tip: To prevent any potential issues, be sure of use an Apple MFi Certified
Lightning Connector for Apple CarPlay
™
.
Depending on use, Apple CarPlay
™
can share certain vehicle information (e.g., vehicle location, speed,
and other operating conditions) with the connected iPhone
®
