2.2 Fixture Installation.

2.2.1

Remove the mounting assembly from the electrical housing

by releasing the latch and then swinging it open until the hinge
disengages.   See Figure 1.

2.2.2

Loosen the wire chamber cover screws and remove the

wiring chamber cover.  Allow it to hang by the electrical wires
attached to the terminal block.  See Figure 1.

2.2.3

Pendant mount

This unit must be mounted to a 1-1/2 NPT male threaded pendant.
Verify that the set screw, located in the mounting assembly, is
backed out enough that it will not interfere with the mounting
threads.  See Figure 1. Thoroughly inspect threads for damage.
DO NOT attempt to assemble with another part if any thread
damage is found on either part. Apply pipe thread sealant
completely around the first 4 male threads on the mounting
pendant.

Force the sealant into the threads

, see Figure 2.

Thread the mounting assembly onto the pipe threads. Tighten by
hand at least 5 full turns to ensure the end of the conduit goes past
the setscrew hole.

CAUTION

FIELD APPLICATION OF PIPE THREAD SEALANT IS

REQUIRED.  FAILURE TO PROPERLY APPLY PIPE THREAD

SEALANT COULD CAUSE THIS UNIT TO LEAK OR CAUSE

INADEQUATE THREAD ENGAGEMENT.

PIPE THREAD SEALANT MUST BE APPLIED TO MALE

THREAD ASSEMBLY TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION

2.2.4

Rigid Pendant mounting

 - Thread the mounting assembly

onto the pipe threads.  Tighten by hand at least 5 full turns to insure
the end of the conduit goes past the setscrew hole. Continue to
tighten with wrench until the threads tighten completely and the
street side of luminaire is pointed in proper direction.  Reflector
assembly and refractor are marked "street side."

2.2.5

Tighten the set screw to 12-15 ft-lbs.

2.2.6 Quick Stem Mount

Refer to Installation Manual provided with the swivel fitter (IM-347)
Attach the luminaire to the fitter by removing fitter door and inserting
stem of luminaire into the fitter. (Fig 3) Do not damage the electrical
supply wires during attachment of the luminaire. Feed the electrical
supply wires through the center of the stem grommet and make final
connection per section 2.2.7. Replace the fitter door by engaging
the lip of the door inside the fitter. Tighten the door screws to 5-6 Ft-
lbs. Tighten the nuts on the U-bolts to 30-40 Ft-lbs. Allow luminaire
to self-level and tighten the set screws to 12-15 Ft-lbs. If necessary,
adjust the leveling set screws so that the fitter is installed level.
Install shaft collar on stem in upmost position, flush with fitter.
