Chapter 6 Setting Up File and Printer Sharing
Windows 2000
After installing and configuring the Adapter, Windows 2000 automatically enables
file sharing. The only item that needs to be altered is workgroup settings. All the
computers on the network must have the same workgroup name, but different
computer names. To check or change this:
1.
Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, then select Properties .
2.
When the “System Properties” window appears, select
Network
Identification
.
3.
If the
Workgroup
name is already the same as all the other computers on the
network, click
OK .
If it is not the same, click
Properties
.
