B1.3 General instructions for installation

Once the packaging has been removed, check the filter integrity. If doubt, do not use it and
contact the supplier. Make sure that all listed parts are present.

Check that the pressure and temperature of the supply water are within the technical data of
the equipment. In case of network pressures higher than the maximum pressure even for
short period, install a protective pressure reducer upstream. The pressure must be at least
1,5 bar.

The Manufacturer declines all liability for damages to property or persons resulting from the
incorrect installation of the filter and/or the installation of the filter in a system not complying
with the laws in force.
The plumbing system in which the filter is installed and the installation of the filter itself must be
carried out in compliance with the laws in force.
All materials used for the construction of water plumbing systems must be suitable for contact with
water intended for human consumption according to local laws.The construction and modification of
a water distribution system intended for human consumption requires performing the interventions in
such a way as not to jeopardize the hygiene of the system. Before installing the filter, clean all
piping and equipment installed before the filter in order to remove any foreign bodies that could
cause filter malfunction. After the installation the plumbing system intended for human consumption
must be washed and/or disinfected according to the requirements of the EN 806-4 standard.
B1.4 Hydraulic checks after installation
Check that filter is correctly positioned so as to easy ordinary maintenance operations.
Check that system is equipped with: disconnector, by-pass, sampling taps before and after
filter.
Check the compliance of the system with any local regulations or recommendations issued
by the competent local offices.
Before starting up fill te filter with water and vent.
Open the shut-off valves upstream and downstream of the filter, check for leaks.
B1.5 Allowed assembly diagrams
The assembly should be performed respecting one of the schemes reported on this manual.
Follow the water flow direction indicated by the row stamped on the brass head of the filter.
BravoDUE only:
BravoDUE filters has a 360° rotating rear
connection plate (in 90° steps) to satisfy any
configuration requirement. However, it is
essential to respect the direction of water
inlet and outlet (arrow stamped on the brass
plate).
To change the orientation of the plate, simply
loosen the head nuts (use a 6 mm Allen key).
Rotate the plate in the desired direction, taking care to correctly position the white shaped gasket
placed between the brass plate and the white head. Here are the possible configurations of
BravoDUE:
