X-ray, CT, MR, PET Scanning and
Electrotherapy
· Remove your hearing aid for example during
X-ray, CT/MR/PET scanning electrotherapy
or surgery as your hearing aid may be
damaged when exposed to strong fields.
Avoiding Heat and Chemicals
· Your hearing aid must never be exposed
to extreme heat e.g., le inside a parked car
in the sun
· Your hearing aid must not be dried in
microwave ovens or other ovens
· The chemicals in cosme cs, hairspray,
perfume, a er shave lo on, suntan lo on
and insect repellent can damage your hearing
aid. Always remove your hearing aid before
applying such products and allow me to dry
before pu ng it on.
