1.0  Introduction

The PASAR 223  is universally usable. The multimeter is built and
tested according to the latest safety regulations. It is a valuable help
for trade, industry area as well as for the hobby electronics
technician.

PASAR 223 is characterised by the following features:

3½ digit LC Display, max. 1999 digits
manual measurement range selection
AC and DC  voltage measurement up to 600V
DC current measurement up to 200 mA
Resistance measurement up to 2 M

Diode test
Battery test for 1.5V and 9V batteries
Constructed in compliance with the EMV Directive (89/336/EEC),
Standards EN 50081-1 and EN 50082-1 are fulfilled.
It also complies with the Low Voltage Directive (73/23/EEC),
Standard EN 61010-1 is fulfilled.

After unpacking, verify that the instrument is undamaged.

2.0 Safety Measures

PASAR 223 has been constructed and verified in compliance with
the safety measures for electronic test instruments DIN VDE 0411/
EN 61010/IEC 61010 and has left the factory in safe and perfect
condition.
To maintain this condition the user must pay attention to the safety
measures contained in this instruction manual.
The instruction manual contains informations and references,
necessary for safe operation and maintenance of the instrument.
