Printer Driver Installation

To print from your Aspire, you need a printer driver

-

a

program that tells your computer what kind of printer it is

printing to.

Windows has automatic detection for all of the more

popular printers. If your printer is not available in Windows

Me, look in the printer’s user guide for instructions. Please

contact the manufacturer of your printer if you have

problems or questions.

1 Click on the Start button

.

2 Point to Setting, thenclick on Printers.
3 Double

-

click Add Printer.

4 Follow the directions on the screen, and be sure to test

the printer when prompted. You should now be able

to print successfully from your Aspire.

Connecting an Optional Serial Device

1 Before you proceed, make sure your computer is

completely turned off (see page 4).

2 Locate the serial port on the back of your computer.
3 Plug your serial device cable into this port.
