18 Cleaning and maintenance information
Clean the mobile terminal by placing it securely on a surface (e.g. table). This ensures a secure hold and the
mobile terminal cannot slip out of your hand during the cleaning process.
ATTENTION
Do not use any corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions or strong
cleaning agents in order to clean the device.
18.1 Display
In order to clean the display, always switch off the mobile terminal as the display responds to all contact and
could therefore compromise or interfere with the active program. Do not apply any severe pressure to the
display.
18.2 Scanner, camera and camera light window
In the event of any irregularities during scanning, switch off the mobile terminal and clean the scanner glass
with a soft, dry cloth. The scanner glass is ultra-transparent and can hardly be seen with the naked eye.
Shape the cloth in such a manner that it can easily be moved back and forth in the scanner shaft. Do not
apply excessive pressure to the glass.
18.3 Charging and communication contacts
If charging or communication problems occur, clean the charging and communication contacts with a soft,
moist cloth.
ATTENTION
Disconnect the device from the power supply in order to clean the
charging and communication contacts of the docking station.
18.4 Keyboard/buttons
In order to clean the keyboard/buttons, always switch off the mobile terminal as the keyboard/buttons
respond to all contact and could therefore compromise or interfere with the active program. Do not apply any
severe pressure to the keyboard/buttons.
