2. Installation and assembly

2.1  Installation and layout of the slats

Fig. 1 et 2

-

-

Special care needs to be taken when handling the slats.

Shearing can cause irreparable damage to the caps. This is

why they must not be assembled by threading

-

-

Transfer the slats directly from the container to the pool

water avoiding all mechanical contacts.

-

-

Place the packets of slats directly onto the water, curved

side towards the sky and the double male hook on the side

opposite the roller.

-

-

Lay out the WING System® slat panels according to their

number. Place the "1" panel on the side opposite the roller

on the stairs, then position the rest in ascending order

moving towards the roller.

-

-

Place the specific groups of slats (the group fitted with

straps to hook to the shaft on the roller side, the group

fitted with the other anti-lifting mechanisms on the side

opposite the roller, and the slats for the stairs).

2.2  Assembling the cover and WING System® slats

Fig. 3 et 4

-

-

Assemble the slats by clipping them together by inserting

the double male hook into the female part of the preceding

slat and then by pushing the slats up into a "V" shape

towards the sky.

-

-

Make oscillating movements in order to cause click-fitting

along the whole length of the slat.

Fig. 3

-

-

The clipping principle is the same for WING System® slats,

the only difference being that these slats do not have a

male part, but a female part on either side (see cross-section

view in §2.6).

-

-

These slats are connected together by a connecting strap

(see cross-section view in §2.6).
