Introduction
The ABI-EV2000S00 and ABI-EV2008S00 are RF amplifiers with
integrated return path. The modules are equipped with one coaxial
input for CATV signal or DVB-T antenna. The modules have one
coaxial TV input and 4 independent RJ45 (Twisted Pair) outputs on
the front.
The ABI-EV2008S00 has 2 coaxial extension outputs to feed one
or two ABI-EV2014S00 modules, bringing the capacity to 8 or 12
TV sets.
A range of Twisted Pair to Coax adapters (with or without
adjustment, filters, IR…) is available for installation at the receiver
end (i.e. ABI-AC1001S00, ABI-AC1002S00,…).
All 4 ports of the modules are ready for Docsis compliant in-band
return path providing interactive digital TV services (e.g. VOO,
UPC,…)

Installation
Power Off the central
ABI-PS1001S14
Power Supply by means of the
Circuit Breaker installed in the ‘
Comm Center Cabinet
’, or by removing
the mains power cord from the Power Supply.
1.
Make sure the shielding of the Network Interface Unit (NIU) or
CATV transition point is properly connected to the protective
ground.
2.
Open the ‘Comm Center Cabinet’
3.
Click the ABI-EV20XXS00 unit on the metal DIN-rail.
4.
The ABI-EV20XXS00 is supplied with a grounding wire,
connected to the input F-connector.
This wire (1) must be connected to the protective ground of
the installation.
The following system devices also need to be connected to
the protective ground: The DIN-Rail frame (2) and the Power
supply (3)
5.
Connect one of the unused POWER connectors of the ABI-
PS1001S14 Quadruple Power Supply (5VDC - 4A).
6.
Connect a coax cable from the CATV connection point (NIU)
or the CATV transition point to the coax input connector
CATV/ANTENNE on the top of the unit.
7.
If needed, connect extension modules (ABI-EV2014S00) to
the coaxial CATV/ANTENNE outputs using a coaxial patch
cord.
