healthcare professionals. It contains information to guide healthcare professionals in the proper installation of the Sidearm Retainer
with the Impella CP

with SmartAssist
®
and Impella 5.5
®
with SmartAssist
®
. The Impella Sidearm Retainer provides optional support
to the Impella purge line assembly during procedures and patient transport. The retainer surrounds the components that make up the
clear purge sidearm and aid in preventing potential mishandling of the assembly.
You must read, understand and follow these instructions to ensure proper application of the retainer.
