Canceling password protection
7.2.2 Activating the control panel lock
The control panel lock function prevents the welding parameters from being changed by mistake.
The control panel lock only permits wire feed and retraction movements, gas tests, and parameter saving.
Switching off the device does not cancel the control panel lock. Resetting the welding parameters and the
internal functions deactivates the control panel lock.
The parameter protection function can be used to give only a selected group of persons permission to
change parameters. The parameter protection function can only be canceled by entering a password.
7.2.1 Password-protecting the welding parameters on page EN

Press and hold <Enter> for at least 3 seconds.
<PAS → Loc> flashes alternately in the left digital display.

Set the hundreds digit with the <Parameter setting> knob.

Press the <Parameter selection> button.
The tens digit starts to flash.

Set the tens and ones digits in the same way with the
<Parameter setting> knob.

Press <Enter>.
If the number matches the stored password, both digital
displays show <good> and password protection is removed.
If the number does not match the stored password, <bAd>
is displayed on the left digital display.
► Use the <Parameter setting> knob to re-enter the
password as described above.
